I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. And, I am a full time caregiver to my disabled husband who has Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. This is a journal of the thoughts I have, the things I deal with and the way I get through the day. I've been a spousal caregiver for fourteen years. If you can find a bit of encouragement here, I am grateful.

Paula, I came across this blog of yours originally after reading your blog "A Latte Quilts - Lattes and a Lota Quilts" (and getting ideas for my own sewing/craft room). Your continued faith, belief and testimony for God is inspiring. Although I'm not dealing with the challenges you are, I've found hand work to be relaxing. (I'm currently hand-sewing "wonky" log cabin blocks.) Please remember you do need to take time for "YOU" or you'll not be able to do for others. Do you get much quilting done anymore? Are you going to blog anymore at your other blog? I don't have a blog myself so I'm just signing this with my name. In Friendship, Madge
Thanks Madge for visiting my care giving blog.
I am beginning to spend a bit of time in the sewing room each day. Nothing blog worthy yet, but I am hoping to start sharing stuff on my quilting blog soon.
I've been spending time on me lately but I've found a few other things to enjoy. Cooking (healthy, from scratch and with fresh herbs), organizing our menu and shopping, spending time with friends, reading and such. I've just honestly not had the mental "snap" to work on quilting. I'm feeling much more balanced and the "snap" has returned. :)
I love E.E. I saturated myself in her writings for several years and learned so much about the sovereignty of God. This was a wonderful post.
